Thispaperfocuseson&nbspcommonhealthybehaviors,includingphysicalactivities,healthcarescreening, adequatesleep,andassociatingwith supportingfriendsandfamilymembers.

Physicalactivitiescan be funandbeneficialto one’s healthat thesametime.Gettingat least30 minutesof exerciseona dailybasisimprovesthebodyfitness,which helpsthem leada healthylife(Zeratsky, 2014). In addition,physicalexerciseis one of theoverweight therapiesthat havenosideeffects.Thismeansthatphysicalactivities(suchas thegym) can helptheoverweight individualsloseweightwith experiencingcomplicationsthat areassociatedwith othertherapies,includingchemotherapy.

Preventivehealthcarescreening is a healthybehaviorthat helpspeopleleada healthylifeandreducethechancesof sufferingfrom chronicdiseases.Thescreening involvestheregularmedicalcheck-up that is intendedto helpin theidentificationof illnessesbefore theydevelopto chroniclevels (Zeratsky, 2014). Makinga habitto visithealthcarefacilitiesformedicalscreening evenwhenone is feelingperfectlyhealthyis theonlywayto be surethatone is not sufferingfrom anydiseases.

Adequatesleepis one of thehealthypracticesthat improvethewell-beingof an individual.However,one should sleepfortherecommendednumberof hours(7-8 hoursin a dayforan adult)in orderto avoidtheeffectsof sleepdeprivationas wellas theeffectsof oversleeping(Shaw, 2014).Adequatesleepgivesone someampletimeto relaxafter work,which isassociatedwith alargenumberof healthbenefits,suchas appropriatebraindevelopment,healthyheart,andrelaxedmind.

Associatingwith supportingfriendsandfamilymemberscontributestowards theoverall wellbeing of an individual.Studieshaveassociatedwarmsocialrelationshipswith friendsandfamilymemberswith theincreasein one’s happinessanda declinein stress(Hamilton, 2013). Therefore,makinga habitof networking with otherpeoplesavesone from theriskof sufferingfrom psychosomatic diseases,which giveone an opportunityto leada happyanda healthylife.Forexample,leadinga lifethat is freefromstressreducestheriskof heartdiseasesandincreasesthecapacityof an individualto livelonger.

Differentpeoplehavevaryingperceptionsof wellness. There are two thingsthat one can doon a dailybasisto improvetheperceptionof wellness. First,readingmaterials(suchas magazines)on healthyhabitsgivesone an opportunityto understandhealthyhabitsfrom theperspectiveof healthexperts,which helpspeopleavoidtheir perceptions,someof which arebasedon mythsandunfoundedbeliefs.Secondly,sharingwith friendson differenttopicsof healthyhabitsgiveseachof thefriendsan opportunityto learnwhatothers knowabout leadinghealthylives.Therefore,sharingideascan helppeoplegetcriticalinformationthat theypreviouslydidnot have,which can helpthem changetheir perceptionof wellness.

Inconclusion,healthyhabitsare thekeysecretsto leadinga longlifethat is freeof diseases.Allhealthypracticesconsideredin thispaperserveas effectiveapproachesofreducingthechancesof contractingdiseases.However,itis importantto changeone’s perceptionof wellness in orderto practicethehealthyhabits.Thiscan be achievedby sharingwith friendsandreadingmaterials(suchas magazines)writtenby expertson topicsof healthyhabits.
