Thehypothesis of the study is that Saudi Arabia is a unique mix ofreligion and culture that poses difficulties for the government inregard to women in education (Alharethet al, 2015).According to Alharethet al (2015), the integrative society has several aspects that affectthe progress of women, especially those in education.

Thestudy uses secondary sources of data. In this regard, literature isthe main source of data and information provided in the research. Asthe sources of data, the secondary materials contain content that isnot from the original source but from the literature. All the contentprovides contains the findings of the researchers that are based onthe literary sources of information. The researchers cite all theexternal sources of information in the last page. The method ofcollection is therefore literature review and not any specific mannerof data collection. However, the information collected by theresearches is thematically consistent. This means that they explorethe finds of different sources in a certain theme and variableexplored in the study.

Toexplore the hypothesis, the authors identify the variables in thestudy. According to Alharethet al (2015),the authors identify feminist theory, Islamic feminism, the Saudisociety and the status of women in the Quran as the main determinantsof the situation of women in Saudi Arabia. These variables providethe basis of understanding the problem through the perspectives ofthese issues. According to Alharethet al (2015), the understanding of the societal issues affectingwomen helps in understanding their challenges in education. Inaddition, the authors explore the influence of religion based onthese variables. Therefore, the variables provide the foundation ofthe study by being the topics of the literature review.

Thestudy is a literature review and does not contain specific methods ofanalysis. Therefore, the method of analysis in this paper is notconclusive enough because of the topic being studied. In addition, the study lacks comprehensive analysis because it is a literaturereview type of a study and does not have a lot of variables toanalyze. However, as a qualitative study, the research gives thehypothesis and literature review in aligning with every source andvariable being explored. This is achieved through a comparison of thevariables and how they assert their influence on the plight of women.

Thestudy makes a number of major findings through the literature review. The study finds religion as an influence in the way the society viewswomen, especially the Islamic perspective. The study also finds thestatus that a woman is given in the Quran as a significant influenceon the current status of women in the country. In addition, the studyfinds feminism, especially Islamic feminism as a strong impediment tothe progress of women and a challenge to the government’sinvolvement in their plight. Therefore, the study finds Saudi Arabiaas a country with an integrated society with a mix of religion andculture that poses challenges to the government in regard to theeducation of women.

Thestudy recommends that the status of women in the Saudi Arabiansocieties needs to be improved. To achieve this, the study recommendsthat women in Saudi Arabia should be treated with more respect thatthey have been accorded before. This way, women will have a betterand a more contributing role in the society. The study furtherrecommends that the society should ensure that the human rights ofwomen are respected so as to aid them to complete their education.

Thestudy concludes that religion is one of the main factors thatchallenge the status of women in the society. The study alsoconcludes that the Islamic book Quran holds a status of women thatlimits the women`s capacity to make decisions on their own and pursueeducation. The study concludes that the cultures in the society andthe religion give men all the power to control women and influencingtheir status other than serving their needs. All these variablesinfluence the plight of women, especially on their education. Therefore, the study concludes that Saudi Arabia has a society of amix of religion and culture that limits the government in regard towomen`s education.
